Why does

a little boy this cute bite me and pull my hair? Now I'm sure this is just a phase or something, but does any other mom have this problem? He doesn't do anything "mean" to Jeremy, just me. So what are your suggestions?

Wow, that's tough! It probably is just a phase. But you sure don't want to make it acceptable, just always respond with a firm, "NO." Unfortunately he's at that age that you have to start disciplining even tho it's really hard. Good luck!

Yah, Bode does the same thing. I have read that you are supposed to put them down (if you are holding them) immediately, say no firmly, and walk away so they don't get attention, neg or pos, from it. I tried it and Bode was completely devestated that I would ignore him for a whole 2 minutes so it might just work. Please note this isn't advice, just something I read once. Of all people, I am not one to go giving out expert advice on anything!

Funny you said this. I just got home from Target where Meg flat out slapped me in the face. I was shocked. She has bit me a few times before. Those weren't out of meanness. I think she had just discovered the ability to do that. I wish I knew the right thing to do. I am reading, Jame's Dobson's "The New Strong Willed Child" for the second time.

Olivia has been our worst biter so far. She especially went after Claire for some reason, so finally Claire just started biting back. I think it's probably just a phase b/c she has gotten a lot better. It may have to do with teething, too.

ummm, the little apple fell from the same tree as his mom, yes, dear you bit too....Your Grandma would say you pick up the skin by the shoulder blade quickly and it makes it sting sort of like a bite....but it didn't work....ummm, I think Summer has the right idea....they have to know it is not ok....The GOOD news it doesn't last long....love you and welcome to motherhood....the things that makes us laugh and cry....
