Merry Late Christmas! Jerermy and I had a busy week starting with his parents and younger brother and sister coming Saturday for a visit. We enjoyed the time we got to spend with them and hope to see them sometime soon. This week was full of busy activities for my mom's birthday and of course Christmas. I would say Cooper got some good gifts I'm sure he'll cherish forever, like a rug, curtains, a painter for his room.....he did get 2 very cute outfits, a Texas sweatshirt and another basketball warm up. Yes, our son will be sporty! As I mentioned part of our gift was a painter for Cooper's room, since I am not supposed to paint my parents thought it would be easier to hire someone to do it while I was at work, Jeremy is busier with basketball practice then we thought he'd be, so Wednesday he will paint the room and then we can hang up the pictures and get some things ready! I'll have some before and after pictures as soon as we're done!

Christmas morning in our pjs...

Playing my brother's Rock Band game....I'm not such a good drummer but a very good lead singer!

29/30 weeks

Last week with the ice all of our basketball games got canceled and my parents had to stay with us for a few days due to their power being out. On Saturday we went to our birth class that was very informative and good times were had there. That's about all I'll say about that, if you want the details I'll be happy to share in person, but not on the blog. Saturday night we had our 3rd Young/Wedel/Lauxman Christmas party...where the youngest of the 6 declared that she should be the babysitter because she is closest in age to Cooper...(imagine a 4th grader saying this with icing covering her face. Here are a few shots from the party.

I am not sure that I even have the biggest belly!

Santa Fe won their game last night in Stillwater and I got to spend some time with an old friend which was so nice. Today was the day we, or at least I have been looking forward to for a long time, we had our 3d/4d ultrasound. Cooper likes to lay with his feet at his face, and he holds them there. It's so crazy. But here is a nice slideshow for those of you who could see Cooper Live today. We have a video too if you ever want to see it, I'm sure we'll be glad to show it to you!! So here is what I like to refer to in basketball language as a pregame warmup.....enjoy!

Don't worry, we're still alive here at the Young house. Last week was so busy between basketball games and a wedding we're pretty wiped out. I think God knows because it iced today so we've been just hanging around the house after church this morning. Santa Fe is having a good basketball season and all the boy's teams have won! Next week there are 4 games so it'll be another busy one, but it's fun to watch them play. Also April and Zane got married so I was busy with showers, parties, rehearsals, and wedding stuff. Now they are married and enjoying some sunny times in Mexico, we'll get to see April again sometime after Cooper comes!

The Gingerbread Houses

On Thanksgiving we started a new tradition of making gingerbread houses with the family that is in town. Since my husband was gone I called in my good friend Katie to help me out. We had a ton of fun and Katie and I came in 2nd place.....yes it was a competition. Enjoy the pics...

I think its 26 or 27 weeks....I can't keep track!

I can't believe how time flies by..November is already almost gone. We have been busy around the Young house. Today is Thanksgiving and I am here at home and Jeremy is in Texas with his family. With my work schedule and how well I am currently sleeping, the best option was for me to remain at home. Luckily, my family lives here as I'm sure all of you know, so I still will have a fabulous Thanksgiving dinner and Cooper will be well fed by his great-grandma! Alot has happened since last time I posted, Jeremy had a birthday and I we had a little surprise card party for him that I think he enjoyed. Santa Fe basketball get started next week, but they have been having scrimmages about twice a week and so far the team is looking pretty good. We registered, which for me, it was more fun to pick out baby stuff then it was for our wedding! Last Saturday we spent the day at Pottery Barn Kids and Babies R Us, we'll tackle Target this weekend to finish up. Other then that Ebay is my new favorite store, I started looking for everything for Cooper on ebay to try to save us some money. Right now I'm waiting to see if the crib we like will ever go on ebay. However I can not find a rocker glider that I like on ebay which is proving to be the most expensive piece of furniture we would like to purchase. Also this week on Monday, 4 people I know had their babies, one couple I took their maternity pictures and soon I'll get to take their baby boy pics for his announcement. I'm so excited! You should check out my photo website because I have updated some portfolios there. Tonight we're having a gingerbread house making competition which I will post some pictures from. No pictures for now, mostly because I keep forgetting to have Jeremy take them of me....also isn't it odd that I'm posting pictures of how big my belly is getting. Which now I feel like it is huge, however at the doctor's office on Tuesday, I saw several women that were much larger then I am....which is such a comforting thought. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Week 24

Well welcome to week 24....6 months in, we can't believe it. Things have been so crazy lately with my photography, which is great for me, not so great for my loyal readers. (If I have any loyal readers!) A quick update on what Cooper and I have shot recently, Peter Nygard Fashion Show, EMHS Freshman game, a wedding, EMHS varsity football game, and a family portrait. You can check out my site to see some pictures, shameless plug for my biz, mlyphotography.com. Well I thought for those of you who have never had the pleasure of meeting Cooper's big brother Baxter. Jeremy and I love Baxter, he is such a sweet dog, we're hoping he and Cooper get a long well. I guess we'll find out in about 3-4 months! That's about all I got for now, not much else going on, basketball at Santa Fe is gearing up, oh and the NBA started which means a lot of basketball at our house. Below is a pic of Baxter and my most recent belly pic for everyone. Hopefully next time I'll have a draft of what the nursery will look like, which is a work in progress! Hope everyone has a great week!
Our first born son, Baxter

I honestly think that these pictures make my belly look bigger then it actually is....

22 weeks

Welcome to week 22! I went to the doctor yesterday and Cooper's little heart was beating just on track at 155. I just love hearing that sound, right now it's the best sound in the world! We went to Texas this weekend to visit Jeremy's family and to attend Abby Copeland's (now Burt) wedding. Which I have to say was amazingly beautiful in her uncles garden. I think Cooper recognizes voices, when someone new is talking he likes to move a lot, but Sunday at church Jeremy said a prayer and he was moving like crazy when his dad started talking, he must like hearing his voice. I new guy started at work this week, which is saving my life, and there is only 1 and 1/2 weeks left of football pictures! I've enjoyed this job, however I'm ready for the basketball gym. Santa Fe has their first scrimmage next week, so it's just around the corner. Well enjoy the pictures below and we'll check in next week.
My mom's friend made this blanket for Cooper, it's so soft!

Here's my belly at 22 weeks...it's getting bigger.

This is the start of the nursery, my sister in law Jenn and I bought this at Ikea this weekend
(which I fell in love with Ikea, it's amazing!)

Well we have made it half way through the pregnancy and everything is going great. Cooper now makes more prominent movements and he likes to lay on my left side, it buldges out more. He still sleeps a lot of the day, but he wakes up whenever I eat and other random times. Other people can't feel him yet, but Jeremy says he can while I'm sleeping. (Which is very possible, one night he kept me up cause he was moving so much.) We did go on our first shopping trip for Cooper, below are the things have have been purchased for him. I'm sure this is the begining of many things for our little boy! Enjoy the pics.

Now I am going to try to update this a lot more. We found out that we're having a boy!! We're very excited to welcome Cooper Paul sometime in Feburary 08. Here's the ultra sound pictures and the two pictures that we've taken of my growing belly. Enjoy! We've been so busy, we just got back from Seattle last weekend and tomorrow I fly to San Antonio to take pictures at Joanie's wedding.

Hello E-World! This is the start of our blog for the remaining weeks that my belly will grow. So far the whole experience has been wonderful. I haven't been sick or feeling bad, and that is such a blessing. We will find out if we're having a boy or girl on September 25th at our next ultra sound, so we'll probably update around that time. Here's the latest picture of the baby, they've grown a lot since the last time we saw them. It was really exciting when we got to watch it kick and roll over!
