The other side.....

Drew arrived right on schedule on January 20th, at 8:35am, weighing in at 7lbs, 4oz, and 20 3/4 inches long. Everyone loved him immediately! Everything went real smooth in the hospital. I wouldn't be able to say that without the help of Leslie and Brittany, who gave up time to come and hang out with me! Although once we got home you could tell there was one Daddy that was ready to hold his baby!
So you might ask, how is it with 4? I'd say I should answer that after my mom leaves this week, the extra hands make things really easy right now! So I'll let you know!
If you're wondering my recovery is going better then ever.....just that not being able to lift things over 20lbs kinda gets in my way. Since I have 0 scar tissue from any of my csections I'll obey the rules! So here are a few pics of our new addition and our clan!!

Family Night out....

Since we are all in Edmond for a couple days Jeremy and I decided to take the kids out tonight for some fun. Cooper has been wanting to go to Chucky Cheese, but Dave and Buster's was highly recommended. We took the kids there and they were so excited. We had a lot of fun! The food there is excellent! It was also the first time for us all in the Suburban, which the kids were also pretty excited about!
























Tomorrow Jeremy and I are planning to finally see The Hunger Games while my parents take the kids to the zoo. I am not up for walking quite that much! Only 2 more sleeps....and I could be more excited!

Single digits....

We are now down to single digits til Drew's arrival! I made it through the entire tourney last week without going into labor. Pretty sure Jeremy and I are the only ones not worried about that happening. The boys got 2nd in this tourney, which was a little sad cause they only lost by 4 in the finals. But as Jeremy says I'll take that over the toliet bowl game any day. We had breakfast for them Saturday am, a little bonding time...



One of the moms came over and did all my dishes and cleaned my kitchen when they left. Which I told her she didn't have to, but in hindsight it was such a thoughtful thing to do. So the kids and I are now officially taking a hiatus from basketball games until after Drew is born, it's up in the air if we will go to their final tourney game the weekend after he comes. I know, I'm a dork, I just love going, the kids love it, and someone needs to be there for the coach! In all honesty if the moms weren't so awesome with the kids we wouldn't go so much.
I've finished my work project in Alva so next week I can completely focus in getting the house ready for Drew to come home! I'm sure a perfect project will come up during my "maternity leave".
So if you're reading this and want to hold a little baby, Jeremy will return to Newkirk on Tuesday, my mom has the kids, so come on by the hospital, I'll welcome you with open arms. Message me or call me, I won't announce where I'm delivering on the blog.....it is in OKC. If all goes as planned we plan to be back at my parents house on Wednesday. Then my mom will be taking the kids and I home that weekend so Cooper can go back to school on Monday! She is staying the week with us since I will not be able to drive until the following week. I know, totally blessed to have parents that support my husband in his job to give so much of their time to help us so he can continue what's shaping up to be a great season! Cause I'm aware we may not have planned this out to well, but not much we can do about it now!
I've been letting Cooper and Maddie sleep in the old bed a lot, it was a rule they could only do that on weekends, but I'm a little push over right now. I found them like this the other night! So sweet!

Almost there.....

Well there are 11 days left of me being pregnant ever....or 5 basketball games, however you want to look at it! Everything we need for Drew is at my parents house for his first trip to Grandmas house if all goes well 2 weeks from today! Yesterday I got the bright idea to list our Murano on Craig's list to see if maybe we could get a little more money for it then trading it in! It happened really fast and after my doc appointment today I got it detailed at Fast Lanes on Penn and Memorial (go there, they are awesome, I should've taken before and after pics!) Lucky for me because I went there I was treated to a delicious lunch with a friend while they worked wonders on my car. (This may only happen to you if you name your 4th child after the owners son!) I had several people interested in the car and I sold it to the first buyer, paid it off, filled out the title and it was sold in just over 24 hours.
So that's done and I'm a lot relieved cause at least half of that process is finished. Luckily my parents are able to supply us with a temporary vehicle until we can purchase ours. After months of looking a 2006 Suburban with everything we wanted, mainly low price and mileage came up at car max. We had to ship it to Edmond and while it's supposed to arrive there tomorrow, next Saturday is the only day Jeremy and I can both be there to purchase it! Looks like that is all shaping up well! So if I can make it through the next week and half, hopefully without losing too much weight all will be right on schedule!

Christmas

Well we did Christmas, and we did it big! We had 5 Christmases. (Yes, I'm totally agreeing with you, overkill) So we started out with Christmas with my Dad's entire family on Saturday before Christmas, only 2 people weren't present, Luke who is coming in January for the OC Athletic Banquet and Uncle Chuck, who had to preach. (Or maybe the thought of having Christmas with 10 kids 6 and under scared him away!) My parents had wanted to do the reenactment of the Birth of Jesus that my cousins and I had done when we were younger. The big difference here is most of us were at least 4 years older then all of them, but we still had a lot of fun. These little kids love to be together.



Then we had dinner and presents and Mama Jo and Papa's house. Kellyn got an Bitty Baby, like Maddie's. They fight over that doll all the time; pretty sure Maddie was more excited about it then Kellyn. But they are enjoying dressing the babies up the same.





Sunday we had church at their house, then later that night we loaded up in a Capital Hill van and took all the kids to see lights. We had a lot of fun, we went to one house that was set to music. The kids loved it. It was great to spend so much time with them all!

Next up was Monday. I had a doc appointment then we went to Texas to visit Jeremy's family. We stayed a few hours, opened presents, let the kids play with their cousin Ellie. Then we made the trip back to OK but everyone had fun til about 7:00 that night when I started getting sick, a lot. The trip home was not good for me, and we almost went straight to the hospital. But after I had been out of the car for a while I started to feel better. It took about a week and forcing fluids down to keep me out of hospital. So I felt really bad on Christmas Eve, my mom's birthday and while Jeremy finished up shopping she was kind enough to take care of me and the kids! We had Christmas with David, Leslie, and Charlie, and Daniel Christmas morning at their house.

We had a nice Christmas steak lunch, then rested up for the afternoon. That night my mom's family came over for desserts and dirty (nice dirty) Santa. The next morning we headed home!

So the kids didn't want to wait for Santa's hidden presents til the next morning so they played in their room while we got everything ready for the last Christmas!

Overall everyone had a good Christmas, I wish I had more pictures, but I'm just glad at this point to be feeling mostly better. If you're wondering, no my doc will not be taking this baby early unless something else comes up, so as long as I'm staying hydrated, I'm hanging tight. I've gathered enough work to limit my trips to Alva for the remainder of the pregnancy so hopefully that'll help some. Hope everyone else had a great Christmas. We are in full swing get ready for baby mode at our house! Only 2 weeks left!
