In between everything else going on a letter was sent home from school saying that Newkirk had a soccer team, starting at 4....so I told Jeremy I thought Cooper should play. Mostly, I didn't want him to be the only kid in his class not playing and I thought it would be good for him. Well, they didn't know if they'd have enough boys for his age, but after almost signing him up in Ark City, KS, I was notified that they did have enough. Then they asked me if I'd coach, of course since I can't say NO....I'm coaching them. (Cause obviously I don't have anything else to do.) We are playing in a Under 6 league, 3v3 soccer. 4 of my boys are 4, 2 are 6. So, we've got a lot to learn, but they are getting better. Their first game was last Sunday, but I had 2 things I was already committed to in Edmond, so lucky for me my Dad came up and coached them. My parents also came up yesterday to coach. My Dad was worried about my foot, and me not being able to coach them during the game. (Or my Dad is so excited to have a little boy playing soccer again, he can't stand to not be there.) So, after they drove all the way here, Cooper gets all shy and starts crying before the game, like he's not going to play. Who knows what that is about, but he went in for the 2nd quarter and even scored a goal in the 4th. I'm sure by the end of the season they'll be all stars.....
32 lbs of brisket later......
Well we made it through the dinner! I had some left overs, but I'm pleased to say there was more then enough food, not too bad of an overage, and over all everyone had a great time. (At least I think they did) So here are a few pics of the event, from getting ready, cooking food, power washing, full fridges, the table settings, and everyone sitting down! I wish I had more pics, but between the girls, getting things warmed, and failed rolls, I was a little busy. Yes, the only thing that went wrong was the rolls didn't rise.....anyone out there feel free to offer me some tips or come teach me how to make rolls rise. We decided to buy them, cause it just would look better. A huge thanks to Brittany, my Mom, Mrs. Gaither (she fried all the okra and I'm pretty sure she thinks I'm CRAZY!), my grandma, (and her double ovens for the chickens), Jenny, my Dad (who did most of the dishes), Renai (boots & flowers), Summer (for additional serving pieces) and the Capital Hill girls that helped out. This would not have become my vision without them! Poor Brittany came over with her 2 girls at 11, and worked like crazy with me til I sent her home about 10, but really our girls got to play together which worked out great. They get along so well, in their words when we checked on them...."go away, we're busy!" The picture I should've took was my poor swollen foot after I took my post op-shoe off, it was sore. I'm happy to report that feels better, however, my back needs a little more time! Yes, the pie in the jar dessert made a return, those ended up being a huge hit this summer for me!
The super cute name card holders were done by the groom's mom! So if you ever need a party, the bride and groom said they'd write me a good rec, maybe I'll agree do it for you! They said it was more then they could've ever imagined which was the plan. I figure if someone is going to give me the task of a night they'll remember forever, I better make it more then they can dream of.

here we go again......
Remember that one time I catered a little wedding.....well I'm doing it again. This time it's just a little "I Do" BBQ, known to you as a rehearsal dinner for about 60 of the bride and grooms friends and family. It's at my parents' so my mom and I are tag teaming for this one! No worries a full post will come on Saturday after it's over. So if you need me before then, I'll be in my mom's kitchen cooking up some yummy food!
Sorry to dissappoint if you saw this title and thought, oh she's having another baby, cause I'm not having one.....at least currently! (Which is not a bad thing, considering I have a 6 month old!)

another year......
Well I turned 31 yesterday. So much different from the anticipated 30, but I can say I'm happy with where I'm at. I've got a wonderful husband and 3 precious healthy babies kids, I guess 2 of them are not babies anymore. I enjoyed a kid free surprise party Saturday night at a local Steakhouse with some of our good friends in Newkirk. It was nice to go to dinner with them all. Jeremy even had a cake, which you know is impressive! Then on Monday since I was in OKC for my LAST doctor's appointment for my foot my mom took me, the girls, my cousin (who just adopted a precious baby boy) and my aunt to Cheesecake Factory! So over all some good celebrations and lots of Starbucks gift cards! Which is great cause my Tassimo machine is not wanting to work....so with the money my grandparents gave me I think I'll get one of these...
And now my birthday has become all about coffee.....I must need it to stay awake or something?
So thanks to many of you for the birthday text, calls, and facebook messages, I feel so loved and special!
we tried....
I've been wanting a picture of my parents 4 grandkids together for a while.....we were all recently at a cousin's wedding and tried to take one. Kellyn was fussy and Charlie had just woken up so I thought if we held the kids it would work.....see for yourself how well it worked out!
And this was the BEST one out of the 5-10 my mom took.....oh well guess we'll try again!
