Hi-ho, hi-ho.....

Well this guy is 9 weeks tomorrow...

Don't you love his faces??? So I guess it's about that time for me to go back to work. But great news, I took a job Friday that is a long term project (years) that I will be able to do 100% from home. So after my parents were so great to keep our older kids for most of last week, the 3 younger ones and I are back for this week. I need to do a little training just to make sure I do things how they like and then I'll be good to go. This is such a huge blessing since childcare in Newkirk isn't a lot of options, but I also still get to work from home. Maddie will just be happy cause it's less time I'm telling her to pick up all day! So God really scored a slam dunk on that one, we are so incredibly blessed!

Kellyn is 2!

Kellyn turned 2 last week! I can't believe she is already that old. We had a nice time at the playground and then just a little cake and ice cream at home! She did pretty good blowing out her candles. If you ask her how old she is she'll say 2....in her quietest voice!

Cooper's 6th Birthday

In the midst of playoffs our little boy turned 6! I can't believe I have a 6 year old. We had a little birthday party for him last Sunday, he wanted a Planes birthday, so just a friend, his sisters, and grandparents. It was a fine time had by all. We built and decorated planes, did Pilot's Licenses, had races, and target practice! Overall I think he had a good one!

District Champs!

Well it's bittersweet around the house cause basketball is over. We were hoping for at least one more weekend, but with a record of 14-11, the boys had the best season they've had since we've been in Newkirk. They won 1st Place at the Frontier tourney, 2nd Place at Ripley, 4th Place at Glencoe, had a 6 game winning streak toward the end including beating Pawnee (which is a huge deal); capped it off with a win for District Champs against #6 Sperry at Sperry. So that was a great year for all of them. I am especially sad because the Seniors that we are losing. Those boys moms and I have become very close, although they may not be in my stage of life, I always enjoy being with them, doing things for the boys, and most importantly the loving they give my kiddos! One will be sticking around cause she has a sophomore, one will take a year off cause her next one is just in 8th grade, and one will be gone, cause this Senior is her baby. (But she offered babysitting for my kids next year!) I think all the parents were pretty happy with how things went this year, there were so many great moments! So for now we'll look forward to what next year holds!
